The National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) is a public institution, organised via a public-private policy implementation partnership in the wine industry.
The institution was designed to conform with the model of similar wine-growing institutions in the world’s major wine-producing countries. The ONVV was established based on the Government Decision no. 725 of September 16, 2013 and implementation of sectoral policies started in April 2014.
The establishment of ONVV was a decisive step taken by the public and private sector in light of the implementation of changes in wine sector legislation, the normative framework and of the promotion of the country’s wine brand: “Wine of Moldova. A legend alive”. The purpose of the ONVV is to contribute to the recognition and promotion of quality Moldovan wine abroad.
The ONVV operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and performs as a public-private partnership, being managed, and financed jointly from the Vine and Wine Fund, set up out of contributions from the private sector and state budget allocations.
Objectives and responsibilities
Promotion of the wine products image on the domestic and export markets.
Improvement of the wine sectors competitiveness.
Consolidation of institutional capacities of the institution.
ONVV basic attributions
Implements state policies in wine growing, viticulture, wine production and wine circulation, must-based products and wine-based products, wine by-products and products obtained by adding value to wine by-products.
Promotes sales of wine products in domestic and foreign markets.
Establishes rules and manages the use of the country brand for wines.
Makes proposals for the development and improvement of legislation on the production and circulation of wine products.
Performs sectoral analyses aimed at ensuring the strategic development of the wine sector.
Manages the production of wine products with a protected geographical indication (PGI) and with protected designation of origin (PDO) in accordance with technical regulations approved by the Government.
Monitors the production potential, including the establishment and uprooting of vineyards.
Keeps records referring to the wine sector.
The enterprise "Corten-Vin Companie" SRL is located in the southern part of the Republic of Moldova and has been operating since 2011. The southern area is the most favorable for the production of high-quality wines. In the immediate vicinity of the winery is the raw material base - 520 ha of young vineyards, of varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pino Noir and others, established in 2008 - 2013.

Novak Winery is a family winery, behind which there are years of professional work, created on the basis of a large winery in the village of Tartaul in the south of Moldova. It is a constant search for new technologies and experiments that winemaker Andrei Novak embodies in each new vintage.

RADACINI Wines is a leading still & sparkling wine producer, managing over 1000 hectares of own vineyards of both international and local grape varieties in all 3 wine growing regions of Republic Moldova. We operate a state of art winery in Cricova and 3 primary processing wineries near our vineyards.
The total production capacity is over 7.5 million bottles per year.
RADACINI Wines is the first winery in Moldova with BRS and IFS certification.
Taraclia Winery is a family owned winery founded in 1955. We are located in the South of Moldova in the town of Taraclia. Our company owns 150 ha of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. We offer bottled (own and private label) and bulk wine, as well as wines in BiB.
