France
Ares Wines International is a French wine business consultancy and commercial agency based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 2010.
For thirty years the Owner have worked across the full value chain of French and international wine — production, vinification, sourcing, quality control, export and retail negotiation — with importers, bottlers and retail groups all over across Northern, Central and West Europe.
Today we come as a Mediterranean Team to Amsterdam with a specific proposition.
Bulk is often treated as a clearance channel. We treat it as a sourcing channel: identified terroirs, defined profiles, documented analysis, and volumes a buyer can plan against.
Our shared stand brings together three cooperatives from the French Mediterranean, chosen because they complement rather than overlap:
— Cave coopérative d'Adissan, Languedoc.
Founded 1928, 30 to 45.000 hl produce each year, historic home of the Clairette blanche grape and of AOP Clairette du Languedoc, the oldest appellation in Languedoc, producing also local IGP and single varietals.
— Domaine Terra Vecchia, Corsica.
One of the largest and finest estate on the east side of Corsica. A state to the art estate, producing 30,000 hL a year from eastern plain vinayards, with a facility purpose-built for bulk: stainless steel capacity, mechanised harvest reception, filtration, preparation before shipment and its own tanker fleet.
— Cave d'Eguilles, Provence.
18,000 hL, AOP Aix-en-Provence whites and rosés, ten minutes west of Aix-en-Provence.
Alltogether, those wine production operations cover three Mediterranean terroirs and a range of native grape varieties that are difficult to source in bulk anywhere else: Clairette du Languedoc and IGP Oc, IGP from Corsica made of Vermentinu, Biancu Gentile, Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, alongside Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Sauvignon for AOP Aix en Provence Rosé.
The offer is designed for European bottlers working close to the consumer, for brand owners and private label programmes, and for operators developing alternative formats — cans, bag-in-box, low-alcohol ranges. We do have also in perspective a new marketing, bottling, sales approach in mind integrating a under licence proposition, offering our partners to bottle our wines closer to markets in a way to minimise CO2 impact as one of the marketing tool for selling our brands.
All expected documents such as certified analysis will be available on every lot on request.
Extra services for supplying as you wish could be discussed for specifi purpose (can bottling at destination for instance).
Samples are presented at the stand throughout both days, and further samples are dispatched on request after the show.
