Cellier d Eguilles has been producing wine for a century. 350
acres are around the village. Provence climate in the area is
typically Mediterranean, hot and dry in summer, cool in winter.
The « Mistral », a strong, dry northerly wind, blows throughout
the year. Soil is mainly stony clay and limestone, with
occasional sandy patches.
The Cuvee has been named after the famous mediterranean style of leaving in the city of Aix en Provence.
This wine is predominantly made from 60% Grenache Noir,
40% Syrah., plus some other grappes such as Caladoc from a vintage to antoher, all coming from sustainable farming parcels.
Harvest is carried out at night when temperature is coolest.
The grapes are pressed as soon as they get to the winery in
nitrogen-inerted pneumatic presses. Juices are then coldsettled
before undergoing low-temperature fermentation.
Bright, pale pink colour. The nose boasts red berries, with a
touch of citrus. The mouth is remarkably fresh, with red berries
flavours and an elegant and lengthy finish.
