Cellier d Eguilles has been producing wine for a century. 350
acres are around the village. Provence climate in the area is
typically Mediterranean, hot and dry in summer, cool in winter.
The « Mistral », a strong, dry northerly wind, blows throughout
the year. Soil is mainly stony clay and limestone, with
occasional sandy patches.
The Cuvee has been named after the famous regional painter
Cezanne. The wine could be supplied in bulk, with or with no licence of bottling at destination under existing brand. It could also be bottled at the source.
This wine is predominantly made from 60% Grenache Noir,
40% Syrah - blend might change from a vintage to another to keep the style, coming from sustainable farming parcels.
Harvest is carried out at night when temperature is coolest.
The grapes are pressed as soon as they get to the winery in
nitrogen-inerted pneumatic presses. Juices are then coldsettled
before undergoing low-temperature fermentation.
Bright, pale pink colour. The nose boasts red berries, with a
touch of citrus, pinaple and other exotic fruits. The mouth is remarkably fresh, with an
elegant and lengthy finish.
Best enjoyed with BBQ, grilled fish, salads.
